Lockdown may have temporarily slowed the Melbourne market – but some seriously spectacular homes are still up for grabs in Victoria’s capital.

Toorak mansions unsurprisingly dominate the city’s priciest residential listings at the moment, with a $40m-$44m Lansell Rd abode at the top of the list.

But a Southbank apartment and a castle-like St Kilda East house with a whopping nine bedrooms are also among our most elite homes for sale.

46 Lansell Rd, Toorak  Price guide: $40m-$44m

Wealthy international businessman Mark Healey and wife Kelly listed this magnificent Toorak mansion last month.

If it achieves its lofty price guide, it will become the most expensive residence to sell in the affluent suburb.

The Healeys bought the property about six years ago and have spent an estimated $10m-plus transforming it.

It now features five to six bedrooms, three kitchens, seven living zones including a cinema room, a teppanyaki grill, a wellness zone, a tennis court and a pool.

The Healeys also own a $16m estate in Red Hill South, where they’re believed to be relocating to.

Marshall White’s Marcus Chiminello and Kay & Burton’s Mike Gibson have the listing. Mr Chiminello has labelled the abode “second to none”, while Mr Gibson called it “incredibly beautiful”.

39 Irving Rd, Toorak  Price guide: $31.8m-$34.8m

This massive Toorak property featuring a “French Mediterranean-style home”, a tennis court, a pool and established gardens has just ticked over 300 days on the market, CoreLogic records show.

Chiverton's original $35m-$38m price guide has been discounted to $31.8m-$34.8m in that time.

That’s for the entire 3150sq m landholding – its two titles can alternatively be bought separately for $20.9m-$22.9m for the 2170sq m allotment and $10.9m-$11.9m for the 980sq m slice.

The Kay & Burton listing describes the “cherished family home” as having “a perfect blend of period and contemporary living spaces, providing an enviable lifestyle”.

Designed by architect George E Nichterlein, it has six bedrooms, five bathrooms plus two powder rooms, formal and informal living and dining spaces, a “poolside summer house” and a self-contained one-bedroom apartment.

“Chiverton’s size, scale, history, features and Irving Road address ensure its status as a once-in-a-generation family home,” the listing states.

60 Hopetoun Rd, Toorak  Price guide: $30m-$33m

Michael Coppel – chairman of music powerhouse Live Nation Australasia – and wife Michelle are seeking a $30m-$33m sale for this showstopping mansion.

The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom abode, on a huge 3066sq m resort-style block with a pool, palm trees and a tennis court, is on the market for the first time in 25 years.

The vendors bought it for $5.75 million in 1996 when it was near-new, from luxury developer Peter Gibson who built it as his own home.

“It’s a landmark home, everyone in Toorak knows it, and many have wondered what lies behind the gates,” Marshall White Stonnington director Marcus Chiminello previously told the Herald Sun.

Coppel – who has toured major acts including Pink, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Taylor Swift during his standout career – and his wife have put their own touches on the home.

It has formal and casual living and dining spaces, a kitchen serviced by a butler’s pantry with a separate cool room, a huge main bedroom with its own dressing room, an office, a gym, a lift, and a darkroom and cellar accessible through a nine-car basement garage.

Level 82/7 Riverside Quay, Southbank  Price guide: $25m

Deep-pocketed property developer Elias Jreissati has been aiming to offload his spectacular full-floor Eureka Tower apartment since 2019.

The Bensons Property Group founder and his wife Colleen first listed the level-82 sky mansion for $22m before raising the asking price to $25m.

Its 676sq m floorplan features five bedrooms, five bathrooms plus three powder rooms, two kitchens, an executive office, a “sculpture gallery”, a private lift lobby, a 1400-bottle wine cellar, “secret jewellery and firearm safes”, and an Italian Kos spa bath in the main bedroom ensuite.

Parking for eight cars and floor-to-ceiling windows framing 360-degree views are also part of the package.

When the property first hit the market, the Jreissatis had appointed Molecule Studio to fit it out the last remaining shell in Eureka Tower, on level 85, as a two-bedroom home they intended to be their “final Melbourne pad”.

Their daughter, Samantha, has also listed her half-floor apartment in the Southbank building with an $8.8m asking price.

10 Bickhams Court, St Kilda East  Price guide: $21m-$23m

This imposing nine-bedroom palace hidden between Inkerman St and Balaclava Rd is aiming to double its own price benchmark for St Kilda East – set at $7.238m in 2013.

In fact, if 10 Bickhams Court achieves its $21m-$23m price guide, it would raise the house price bar significantly for the whole City of Port Phillip.

A grand staircase, a tennis court, an indoor pool, a sauna, seven bathrooms, a library, a billiards room, and a massive main bedroom suite with a dressing room and a spa ensuite among the perks of the 3129sq m property.

Goldmark agent Shae Yao previously told the Herald Sun the house was “like a castle”.

“There is an inside fountain beneath a skylight that allows daylight in through the roof, and the ceiling in the study is two storeys high – it looks like the study in Jurassic World,” she said.
